I do hope this finds everyone well and their life
returning to normal. Many of you, like
me, are still without power and are coping the best way possible with our
adverse situation. Stay safe and if at
all possible, return to school Monday.
September Faculty Meeting: The
monthly full hour meeting will be Monday, September 22nd at
Freshman Elections: Encourage freshman students who
are running for office to campaign this week.
Elections will be conducted on Wednesday, September 10th
during the TAA activity. All freshman
homerooms will report to the boys’ gym for speeches and voting will occur in
the classroom immediately following the speeches.
Open House: Open house will be rescheduled to a later date. The dates of our feeder schools’ open hose
will have to be identified before rescheduling.
Extended Library Hours: Please
announce to students that the library will remain open until
Notice Regarding Food Sales During
School Time: Teachers/Sponsors/Coaches who are conducting fund
raising activities involving edible items are to instruct the students they are
not to sell during school time. Sponsors
may distribute items to students during the school day but cannot sell for
consumption except during the last ten minutes of each lunch shift. Sponsors who are in violation of this
procedure could face disciplinary action.
This includes concessions, meat sticks, chips, cookies, suckers, and
candy related items.
Department Chairpeople: If you have
not already done so, please send your monthly meeting dates to Ms. Rath.
Dress Code Policy: Teachers and all staff are to
enforce the dress code policy. Uniform
polo shirt must be red, white, or navy and cannot have more than four buttons,
capped sleeves or decorative trim, emblems, or logos. Undershirts can only be red, white and navy. The shorts cannot be oversized or
sagging. They can not extend below the
knee. Shorts with the side cell pocket
are not uniform shorts. This pocket can
be stitched closed. Shirts must be
tucked in at all times. The uniform
bottom may be black, khaki, or navy.
Check the students’ dress as
they enter the classroom or at the start of the class. Violations to the dress code policy will
result in a disciplinary action and a phone call home. Complete the dress code violation form to
include the name, grade, date, time, violation, and sign the form. Give the student the pink copy. Turn in the white and yellow to the
office. The action taken and
administrator’s signature will be completed and the yellow copy returned to the
staff member. The assistant principal will
address the violation and the student’s guardian will be called regarding the
violation. The assistant principal or
the discipline clerk will follow up to verify the student attended the assigned
Behavior Clinic or
